13th Annual Car Show
Over 2500 spectators showed up Saturday to partake in one of Flowery Branch’s most-loved annual events, the 13th Annual Car Show and Chili Cook-off!
The annual Car Show and Chili Cook-off featured around 30 vendors alongside more than 225 cars in both the classic car show and the 9th annual Bugs at the Branch, featuring Volkswagen models.
Classic vehicles and VW Bugs lined Main Street and Railroad Avenue in downtown Flowery Branch, while vendors and the chili cook-off contestants were nestled in the in the grassy spaces behind the Historic Depot.
There were numerous winners of trophies and prizes and a few of those winners include:
- Best in Show Classic Car: Harry Bartlett $100 cash prize
- Best in Show VW: Jim Darnell $100 cash prize
- 1st place Best Tasting Chili: Bear Sloan of Lazy Bear BBQ $100 cash prize
- 2nd place Best Tasting Chili: Robert Gambling $50 cash prize
- 3rd Place Best Tasting Chili: Truelove & Yardley $25 cash prize
The event was also privileged to have Jacquelyn Struble Home Selling Team donate and host a 5-day/4-night Cruise Voucher drawing with the lucky winners being the Lisnuck Family of Flowery Branch!
