November 5, 2019 Election Qualifying Begins
Today begins the first day of three for the qualifying of Council Member Post 1 and Post 2.
Post 1 is currently held by Chris Mundy who was initially elected during a Special Election in June of 2015 and Post 2 is currently held by newly elected official Ed Asbridge who won the Special Election in June to replace Council Woman Mary Jones.
The terms for city council are four year terms beginning January 1, 2020 and will run through December 31, 2023.
To qualify you must:
1 - Be a registered voter
2 - Live within the City limits of Flowery Branch for at least 1
year as of the election day
3 - File a Notice of Candidacy with the City Clerk Melissa
McCain on the above mentioned days and times
4 - Pay the qualifying fee of $144 dollars as set by statue.
